The Season Of Expansion

Issue // 23

PURE SELF

This morning I am rising with a feeling of endless deep gratitude.

Gratitude for soft light emerging into the room through tiny spaces between shutters before I lift them up. And for lush tall trees right by the house in which birds land and sing messages from the sky.

Gratitude for taking time as first thing of the day to simply sit with myself. Noticing the chaotic thinking mixed with something of a higher nature, something faithful. And smiling at this communion as an inevitable part of the journey, so human.

Gratitude for deep breaths supporting effort and ease through my asana practice. So enlivening.

Gratitude for large windows, an ever-changing garden view, and a door wide open for freshness to move in as I savour tea with breakfast.

...

It could go on and on. Yet it feels like the right moment to share these letters with you again. After a long pause, they are reaching you in a newly curated form.

For those who have been here for a while, welcome back. And for those who are receiving it for the first time, after joining more recently through classes, workshops, or retreats, I’m happy to have you here.

The Season Of Expansion

As we move into summer, nature invites us outward.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, on which my view and approach to all there is around us in life is largely based, summer is associated with the Fire element — a season of warmth, connection, expression, and expansion. After the quieter, inward energy of winter and the growth of spring, summer encourages us to step into the world more fully and share what has been growing within.

I have been reflecting on this theme in my own life and work over the past months. There have been many changes, some visible and some less so, and one of them is the decision to bring this newsletter back to light.

In these occasional letters, I’ll be sharing reflections inspired by the seasons, yoga, movement, travel, and the ongoing practice of living with greater awareness.

INNER HARVEST

- Slow Living Yoga Retreat

20–27 September · Evia, Greece

Perhaps the biggest and most exciting announcement is Inner Harvest — a slow living and yoga retreat that I am creating and will be holding this September in Greece.

Over the past months, this project has quietly taken shape and has become very close to my heart. Together with an inspiring team, I am creating Inner Harvest — a retreat designed as a space to slow down, reconnect, and listen more deeply to ourselves.

Set on the island of Evia, surrounded by nature and the rhythms of the sea, it will bring together yoga, meditation, nourishing food, meaningful conversations, and time for rest. As we move from the expansive energy of summer toward autumn, the retreat invites us to pause and gather the fruits of the year — to reflect on what has grown, what is ready to be released, and what we wish to carry forward.

If this speaks to you, I would love to welcome you there.

If Inner Harvest comes to mind when thinking of a friend, family member, or colleague, I would be delighted if you passed the invitation along.

For those based in Zürich, I offer weekly Yin classes Thursday evenings as well as special Sunday Sessions one Sunday per month at Younion Yoga, 8006.

I am also happily sharing with you a playlist for Yin moments. Anytime you long to slow down or pause.

You're receiving this letter because our paths have crossed through yoga, retreats, workshops, or previous newsletters. If what I share no longer feels aligned, please feel free to unsubscribe at any time. My intention is simply to nurture a space that feels meaningful and supportive for those who choose to be here.

From my heart to yours,

Aida
